Ron was raised in Gettysburg, South Dakota, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985 from Northern State University. He attended the University of South Dakota School of Law where he served as Comments Editor to the South Dakota Law Review. Ron received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1989, graduating with Sterling honors. He then served as law clerk to the Hon. Donald J. Porter, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota. His memberships include the State Bar of South Dakota, American Bar Association, the Brown County Bar Association and the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association. He is licensed to practice law in the State of South Dakota. Ron practices primarily in the areas of plaintiffs' personal injury, insurance, and civil litigation.
